Before Lunna Pet Co was a brand, there was a dog who became part of our family's story.
Her name was Luna, and the love she brought into our lives became the inspiration behind Lunna Pet Co.
Where it began
Luna first came into Geralda's life.
Luna arrived as a gift from my aunt after my mother received her cancer diagnosis. She wanted to bring my mother comfort, companionship, and a little more joy during a difficult season.
When my mother opened the car door and saw a little dog sitting in the passenger seat, she asked, “What am I supposed to do with this?”
My aunt simply answered, “Take care of her.” And that is exactly what my mother did.
A special bond
Luna was never just a pet.
For my mother, Luna became family. She slept beside her, followed her from room to room, and was always close by.
My mother cared for Luna with extraordinary love and dedication — good food, veterinary care, regular grooming, and a life filled with affection.
Luna received the very best of my mother.
The bond continued
The same little dog who brought comfort to my mother became the one bringing comfort to me.
After my mother passed away, Luna stayed with me. I worried about how she would handle losing the person who had been her whole world, but the love and care we already shared made our transition together natural.
One Christmas, it had been just my mother and Luna. Years later, my first Christmas without my mother was also just me and Luna.
