The Lunna Pet Co. Super Absorbent Pet Drying Towel is a dense chenille towel with a pocket sewn into each end. Your hands go in, you grip the coat through the fabric, and you can actually work the water out instead of chasing a wet dog around the kitchen with a bath towel.
Dry the dog before the dog dries your house
- Chenille pile, not flat cotton: Thousands of soft tufts pull water off the coat instead of pushing it around the way a smooth bath towel does.
- A pocket at each end: Slide both hands in and you can rub with real pressure and keep a grip on a squirming dog.

How to use
- Slide a hand into each end pocket before you start, so you never lose your grip.
- Blot first, do not rub. Press and lift along the back and sides to take the bulk of the water out.
- Then work the towel against the direction the coat lies to reach the undercoat, where the water hides.
- Finish with the legs, belly, and tail last — the places that drip onto the floor an hour later.
- Wring it out, hang it up. Machine wash warm and tumble dry low when it needs it.
Good to know
- Wash it before first use. Chenille sheds a little lint on the first cycle and absorbs better afterward.
- No fabric softener. It coats the fibers and is the fastest way to ruin how much water this holds.
- Damp is not dry. A thick double coat still needs air time before your dog gets on the sofa.
- Not a replacement for a dryer on a heavily matted coat — towel drying can tighten existing mats.
- Hang it to dry between uses. Left balled up wet, it will smell within a day.
- Material: chenille. Colors may read slightly differently on your screen.

Chenille works differently from a flat weave. The pile is made of thousands of soft raised tufts, and each one grabs water off the hair rather than sliding across it. One pass takes out what several passes with a bath towel would not.
The pockets are the part people underestimate. With a hand anchored in each end, you can press hard enough to reach the undercoat and keep hold of a dog that would rather be running. It turns a two-person job into a one-person job.
